SIPJ started this drive to collect public donations for underprivileged children back in 2003. The public donated old textbooks, school uniforms, club members bought and gave out school shoes, new exercise books, pencils, pencilboxes.
The most recent one was on Dec 27th, 2005 at our project partner, INS' premises in Puchong. They sponsored 2 buses, conducted 50 over free blood sugar tests and blood pressure tests for adults as well as free use of the hall and all the water they can drink!
SIPJ collected books etc (public sent them to KAJ outlets) over a period of one and half months from November till mid Dec, sorted them out (by IPP Jas Bir and family). SIPJ provided a meal box of meehoon and fried chicken for each participant. The event started at 7pm and ended at 9pm.
